OVERVIEW

This Daytona replica is a Factory Five Racing Mark 2 built in Idaho, USA and completed in 2013. The car was acquired by the seller and subsequently imported to Dubai in 2018. Power is delivered by a bored and stroked Ford 347ci V8 (5.6L) mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual. The second-generation (Mk2) featured Factory Five’s revised tube frame chassis and composite fiberglass bodywork. The car is finished in metallic gray paint with two silver stripes. Inside the vehicle sports a black racing spec interior.

The Factory Five Racing (FFR) Daytona offers an accurate tribute to the World Championship winning car. The one Pete Brock and the team at Shelby built to beat Ferrari back in 1965 and secure class victories in the 24 hours of Le Mans. This replica is purpose built to capture the look and feel of the original 200 MPH (322 KPH) race car with a little more modern usability and reliability.

There were only six original Coupes ever made. Those cars captured the 1965 FIA World Championship for America in the last years before mega-money took American road-racing from its roots and from the average guy. Despite the fact that the design never entered production, those six cars, hand-built upon 289 AC chassis, are some of the most valuable collector cars on the planet. Each of the original six Daytona Coupes is valued at more than $8 million. More importantly than the money, these cars have become symbolic of the end of an era.. You won’t see three of them lined up at your local Starbucks, and even at car shows these Factory Fives are rare birds. It is certainly not a car for everyone, but it is definitely the only car for some.” – Dave Smith, President of Factory Five Racing

This Factory Five Daytona Coupe (also known as the Type 65 Coupe) comes with the US build book, assembly manuals, and recent service history. The registration (title) lists the car as a 1965 model which typically eases importing to many countries as a classic car.
